  • Nestlé USA is committed to responsible communication to consumers, including children. We are members of the Better Business Bureau’s Children’s Food and Beverage Advertising Initiative (CFBAI), and have implemented the global Nestlé Corporate Policy on Marketing Communication to Children. Nestlé USA is also a member of the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation, which is working to remove 1.5 trillion calories from the food supply by 2015.
  • The National Education Association (NEA) has partnered with Nestlé in the United States to expand its nutrition and physical activity education resources for educators. The program, Healthy Steps for Healthy Lives, provides free instructional materials that support educators’ efforts to teach students in grades K-3 about being healthy.
  • Nestlé USA and other Nestlé companies in the U.S. have recently issued our second Creating Shared Value report. We invite you to learn about our initiatives in Nutrition, Health & Wellness as well as our commitment to water, sustainable business practices, and more.
  • Nestlé USA is the first company in the United States to buy sustainable palm oil certified by The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. In 2010, Nestlé S.A. announced a partnership with The Forest Trust (TFT) to define responsible sourcing guidelines to guide the Nestlé procurement process. Nestlé is the first consumer goods company to become a TFT member.
  • Nestlé USA has been steadily reducing sodium levels across brands, while simultaneously improving the nutritional and taste profiles of our products. Recently, we announced a commitment to decrease the sodium content in our products by another 10% by the year 2015. This initiative includes our STOUFFER’S®, LEAN CUISINE®, BUITONI®, HOT POCKETS® and LEAN POCKETS® brands, which will undergo gradual but steady recipe changes in order to bring down sodium levels without impacting taste.
