Nestlé Day of Volunteering in Gaffney, SC
The Nestlé Prepared Foods Factory in Gaffney, SC celebrated Nestlé’s Day of Volunteering with a week of activities dedicated to their Adopt-A-School program. Employees trained to become Junior Achievement instructors for local 7th graders, read to kindergarteners, and wrote letters to 3rd grade pen pals. Nestlé Healthy Steps for Healthy Lives packets were also utilized by 2nd and 3rd grade teachers during the week. All of these programs will continue throughout the school year.
The culminating event of the week was a “teacher lunch break.” Nestlé employees monitored the cafeteria so that teachers were able to have a group meal away from the students’ lunch tables. Teachers were also treated with their favorite Nestlé candy bar, along with a note of thanks for all of their hard work every day!
