2011
- STOUFFER’S® introduces FARMERS’ HARVEST™ featuring high quality ingredients such as whole grains, vegetables, sea salt and olive oil.
2010
- Nestlé launches effort to decrease sodium by 10% in STOUFFER’S®, LEAN CUISINE®, BUITONI®, HOT POCKETS® and LEAN POCKETS® by 2015.
- New LEAN CUISINE® SPA CUISINE™ entrées offer five to six grams of dietary fiber from natural sources, such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
2009
- Nestlé USA partners with retailers, food and beverage industry to launch Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation, a national, multi-year effort designed to help reduce obesity – especially childhood obesity – by 2015. For people trying to manage their weight, Nestlé offers portion-and-calorie-controlled meals, along with lower fat and reduced sugar versions that share the original’s same great taste.
2008
- BUITONI® introduces Whole Wheat Refrigerated Pasta, made with 100% Whole Durum Wheat Flour.
- LEAN CUISINE® introduces Seafood Selections entrées as a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA.
2007
- LEAN CUISINE® SPA CUISINE™ entrées offer more vegetables. Five new entrées from SPA CUISINE™ offer two servings of flavorful vegetables. Each meal contains 350 calories or less, two to six grams of fiber, and are filled with two servings of flavorful vegetables.
- LEAN POCKETS® introduces varieties made with whole grains. Seven varieties feature 16 grams or more of whole grains per serving. At the time, LEAN POCKETS® was the only sandwich in the frozen food aisle that featured whole grains.
2006
- LEAN CUISINE® package fronts begin featuring a "0 g trans fat" flag. Nestlé product specialists succeed in eliminating or greatly reducing trans fat in LEAN CUISINE® and STOUFFER'S® products by using canola or soy oil in recipes.
2005
- For the first time, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends consuming more whole grains. LEAN CUISINE® introduces SPA CUISINE™ with whole grains. Today, 15 LEAN CUISINE® items are made with 100% whole grain pasta.
2004
- LEAN CUISINE® introduces SPA CUISINE™, eight spa-inspired meals all with less than 300 calories and between three to five grams of fiber-rich whole grains.
