Introduction
Everyday, all across Nestlé USA, our brands support many great initiatives, activities, and organizations in their efforts to promote health and wellness, find a cure for illnesses and diseases, and encourage physically-active lifestyles. Below are a few examples:
Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation
Nestlé USA has joined a coalition of retailers, food and beverage manufacturers and non-governmental organizations for the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation (HWCF), a national, multi-year effort designed to help reduce obesity – especially childhood obesity – by 2015. HWCF promotes the concept of energy balance – balancing calories consumed as part of a healthy diet with calories expended by physical activity – to consumers in the marketplace, to employees through workplace programs and to children in schools.
