The wait is over, America! Nestlé® Crunch® Girl Scout Candy Bars are back and officially on store shelves at participating retailers nationwide through September. After nearly a year-long absence in the marketplace, the award-winning candy bars are now available while supplies last.

“Earning ‘Product of the Year’ and ‘Best New Product’ in 2012, Nestlé Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bars are truly irresistible and treasured by both fans and the industry,” said spokesperson Tricia Bowles, Nestlé USA, Confections & Snacks Division. “People have begged us to bring back these one-of-a-kind candy bars, and we’re thrilled to offer a limited supply this summer.”

Produced under license from Girl Scouts of the USA, Nestlé Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bars are made with an irresistible combination of Nestle Crunch milk chocolate and three of the most popular Girl Scout CookieTM flavors. Varieties include:

  • Thin Mints™ – Dark chocolate cookie wafers and mint chocolate crème, topped with airy crispies and a rich, dark chocolatey coating
  • Caramel & Coconut – Cookie wafers layered with coconut caramel crème and chewy caramel, topped with toasted coconut and drizzled with caramel stripes
  • Peanut Butter Crème – Cookie wafers layered with smooth peanut butter crème, topped with airy crispies and a creamy, chocolatey coating

The American Collectibles Museum has certified Nestle Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bars as “national treasures,” given their limited supply and in-demand status by fans across the country. The non-profit museum, the only one of its kind in the U.S., was established to preserve and promote collectibles as cultural archives. Its current displays include rare collections of Americana, such as stamps, coins, buttons, dolls, and candy.

“Nestlé Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bars are certainly the most delicious national treasure we’ve ever encountered,” said David E. Race, curator and chairman of the American Collectibles Museum. “When you combine two All-American brands into one rare treat, it’s no wonder fans would treasure something so irresistible.”

WHAT WILL YOU TRADE?

Today, the national Nestle Crunch “Treasure Trade” promotion was launched at Facebook.com/NestleCrunch. Fans are invited to trade a personal treasure in order to have a chance to get their hands on these limited-edition candy bars. Actress Lucy Liu, responded first to the sweet challenge, revealing not only her sweet tooth, but what she would be willing to trade for the candy bars herself: “The Nestlé Crunch Girl Scout candy bars are so irresistible, I would be willing to give up my collectible action figure of ‘Alex,’ my character in the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ films,” said Liu, who officially signed on as a Nestlé Crunch spokesperson. “I’ve loved Nestlé Crunch since I was a little girl, and now, the Nestlé Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bar is one of my favorite grown-up treats, especially Thin Mints. My goddaughter is a Girl Scout and I’m very impressed by what this incredible organization teaches girls about entrepreneurship and making the world a better place.”

Fans can participate online in the Nestlé Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bar “National Treasure Trade” by visiting Facebook.com/NestleCrunch, where they’ll have an opportunity to share their own “Treasure Trade” stories and win. (Rules and regulations may be found at www.NestleCrunch.com/TreasureTrade)
