Did you know that childhood is an important time for building healthy habits for life? To learn more about this critical period, Nestlé has started a research project called the Kids Nutrition and Health Study (KNHS or Kids Study), which aims to develop a deeper understanding of the nutritional issues, dietary patterns and lifestyle habits of children aged 4 to 12. This age range represents critical development- and habit-forming years that can impact health throughout the lifespan.
Check out some of the findings from the study so far and click on any section to learn more:
- Snacking among US children: Patterns differ by time of day
- Screen-based sedentary behavior and associations with functional strength in 6–15 year-old children in the United States
- Parenting styles, feeding styles, feeding practices, and weight status in 4-12 year-old children
- Intakes and sources of total and added sugars among 4 to 13 year-old children in China, Mexico, and the US
