About Feeding America

We’ve all skipped dinner before, but imagine not knowing where you’ll find breakfast or even meals for the next several days. Sadly, this is the case for millions of Americans as we continue to face tough economic times. With an astounding one in six Americans not knowing where their next meal may come from[1], HOT POCKETS® and LEAN POCKETS® brands have teamed up with FEEDING AMERICA®, the nation’s leading hunger-relief charity, in an effort to engage the country in providing relief to those in need.

HOT POCKETS® and LEAN POCKETS® brands are committed to helping provide ONE MILLION MEALS[2] to help support local food banks nationwide. In addition, HOT POCKETS® and LEAN POCKETS® brands are encouraging people to take action within their own communities through a variety of online activities. With a visit to HotPockets.com or LeanPockets.com, consumers can access an interactive Hunger Map for hunger statistics, as well as watch documentaries of HERBIE HOT POCKETS® as he captures his cross-country travels in the fight against hunger.

“It’s uplifting to partner with such a remarkable organization,” said Bryan Badger, Vice President and General Manager for Nestlé® Prepared Foods Company, Denver. “Today, we are all touched by hunger, as more and more Americans struggle to feed their families. We are honored to have the opportunity to provide families with the encouragement and comfort that a warm meal offers.”

With more than 49 million people in the U.S. struggling with hunger1 it’s important now more than ever to volunteer, donate and get involved. “With support from HOT POCKETS® and LEAN POCKETS® brands, we will continue the fight to end hunger,” said Vicki Escarra, president and Chief Executive Officer for FEEDING AMERICA. “We are grateful for their generous donation. Their contribution will help put a meal on the table for thousands of families in need.”
