To help communities across the southeastern United States impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Nestlé is activating to provide food, water and financial assistance to those experiencing the devastating effects of the storms.
Supporting the communities where we live and operate is central to Nestlé, especially during times of crisis or disaster. The impacts of the recent hurricanes have been devastating, leading to severe flooding and leaving thousands without food, electricity or clean water. In addition to ensuring our employees across the region are safe, Nestlé is actively working with its nonprofit partners, customers and employees to support the communities, people, and facilities impacted by these storms.
Nestlé’s businesses across the U.S. have been working quickly to contribute funds and deliver product donations totaling approximately $2.5 million to help with relief efforts, including:
- Nestlé USA is donating $25,000 to the American Red Cross to support immediate relief efforts for Hurricane Helene and donating $25,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay to help those impacted by Hurricane Milton. The company is also donating $10,000 to long-standing partner World Central Kitchen and donating over $100,000 to various local charities in and around Gaffney, South Carolina, where its prepared foods factory is located.
- Essentia Water is donating over 100,000 cases of Hydroboost to organizations across several states including Good360 and other partners.
- Gerber is donating nearly 4,000 cases of baby food pouches to help feed babies who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene in Georgia.
- Nestlé Health Science is donating $25,000 to the American Red Cross and $25,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay to support hurricane relief efforts.
- Nespresso is donating $30,000 to the American Red Cross to support hurricane relief efforts.
- Nestlé Purina PetCare is donating $25,000 to Greater Good Charities to support relief efforts for Hurricanes Helene and Milton, as well as shipping in more than 130 truckloads of Purina pet food and cat litter to support pets impacted by the storms across the southeast.
- Nestlé USA, Nestlé Health Science and Nespresso are matching employee donations dollar-for-dollar to various charities addressing food and other immediate relief needs.
Nestlé will continue to monitor and provide support to the communities impacted over the coming weeks and stay in close contact with local organizations, partners and employees to assess ongoing needs on the ground.
