It is a career exploration and acceleration initiative which shapes the future workforce through skill-building and access to opportunities. Through a dynamic network of partners, we're working to extend the impact of this initiative beyond Nestlé.

Our goal is to inspire and equip the next generation of creators in manufacturing. We do that through providing the skills needed to find a fulfilling job through career readiness events that include mentorship and networking, help with resume-writing, and mock interviews.
We've also joined The Manufacturing Institute as a sponsor of Creators Wanted, a national initiative, developed to build the modern manufacturing workforce of tomorrow. With this partnership we’re working to reduce the skills gap in the U.S., increase the number of students enrolling in technical and vocational schools, and reshape how Americans view modern manufacturing careers.
Early Careers & Skill Building
We care about finding the best talent and providing an environment that will help our people thrive. To support the future workforce, we're focused on helping people gain work experience and strengthen their skills beyond the classroom. Over the last several years, Nestlé in the U.S. has hired over 850 interns, nearly 1000 trainees, and hundreds of apprentices. Our internship programs combine technical education with applied work experience across manufacturing and corporate functions. Trainees who successfully complete our development programs emerge better equipped to take on high impact leadership roles. Our apprenticeship programs empower candidates to become experts in skilled trades through a combination of on-the-job training and coursework-based learning.
We understand the value and skills of transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses. We're building a culture that thrives on collaboration, courage, speed and agility - all areas where members of the military community excel, and we're proud to have been named a Military Friendly Employer.
As part of our training and hiring mission with the military, we partner with The Manufacturing Institute’s Heroes MAKE America Training Program, which helps to equip transitioning service members with industry-specific skills and certifications to be eligible for manufacturing careers.
We are developing the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders in their fields. Our partnership with Dog Tag Inc. is focused on helping members of the military community build civilian careers. Nestlé USA hosts entrepreneurship events for Dog Tag fellows including innovation days, resume workshops, mock interview days and flash mentoring sessions.
At Nestlé, we are known as a company of entrepreneurs and innovators. Recently, Fast Company recognized us as one of the Best Workplaces for Innovators thanks to several internal initiatives that empower our teams to bring new creative ideas to life. From our Open Channel crowd-sourcing program which gives employees the chance to pitch new product ideas, to our A.I. driven skill building platform Talent Marketplace, we’re always investing in new ideas to drive entrepreneurship within our walls.

This effort extends beyond our walls, too. We’re committed to helping future entrepreneurs build essential skills for a great career. Several of our operating companies are involved in this effort:
- Nestlé Gerber partners with the University of Missouri School of Medicine to educate and mentor future pediatricians to help them build successful practices.
- Nestlé Purina PetCare is strengthening the future veterinary workforce by providing mentoring, training and educational opportunities to vet students enrolled in its ambassador program.
- Nestlé Professional’s Young Culinary Talents (YOCUTA) Program is designed to help young people develop theoretical and practical skills that will help them thrive in the culinary industry.
Agricultural Training & Skills
As the largest food company in the world, building strong partnerships with the farmers who supply our ingredients is essential to our success. To continue to produce high-quality ingredients in a changing world, the farmers in our supply chain are pioneering new sustainable practices supported by Nestlé investments. One such farm is Carnation supplier Trinkler Dairy Farm, which is charting a path to carbon neutrality – a key milestone in our $10 investment with the U.S. Dairy Net Zero Initiative.
For efforts like these to continue, we must invest in the farmers of the future. We provide technical training and professional development opportunities among the network of farmers who supply us.
Our Gerber Grower program includes an annual symposium which connects our fruit and vegetable farmers with leading experts in agronomy and agricultural science. In a new partnership with the National FFA Organization, Nestlé is investing in the next generation of farmers who will grow the nation’s food supply and develop innovative agricultural ideas.
